Myths in nutrition: Eating after exercise will make you increase fat

A very common myth that many people who do sports seem to believe is that eating right after exercising will make them increase fat. Even in common conversations I’ve heard nutrition enthusiasts say that it's bad to eat after a workout because anything that you ingest will be transformed into fat (???).
Well I’ll tell you that in my case, not eating after a workout means feeling tired, having an upset stomach and even a bad mood.
When I consulted my nutritional advisers from Larisa Paez Nutrition Center about what was happening to me, they explained that when a person does exercise he/she uses energy from muscle and liver (glycogen is converted into glucose: energy), so if the person does not consume any food after training, the body has no way of replacing these energy sources and usually uses muscle mass to recover.
This, apart from generating negative health consequences, causes the person to experience loss of muscle mass and not body fat, and he/she may also feel tired and cranky because of low levels of blood glucose.
As I mentioned earlier, it is very important to always contemplate the principle of sports’ nutrition: The window of glycogen, meaning, always eat food within 30 minutes after your training session.
Do not believe in CHEAP MYTHS, feed your body and avoid headaches.
