I know a lot of people with terrible eating habits. In general, we might call a bad eating habit skipping meals or snacks, spending many hours without eating, eating less nutritious foods, or the topic which I will talk about in this post: Not having an established meal schedule.

Having a meal schedule is extremely important as it brings a number of benefits such as:

- Helps maintain a stable weight.

- Maintains an active metabolism.

- Helps prevent disorders such as diabetes and cardiovascular problems.

- Helps prevent the accumulation of fat in the body.

A clear example of this is that if you look at people with eating disorders, you may find that they tend to be obese or very thin, but NEVER have an "athletic" body, regardless of the quantity and type of the exercise that they perform.

For those people who exercise, it is important to clarify that your feeding schedules should vary according to your trainings and you should NEVER train on an empty stomach, or else, you will fail to maximize the glycogen storage and can be exposed to hypoglycemia. In case you fulfill low intensity training in the early morning, you should at least ingest a carbohydrate and a fruit. But if the training that you are going to perform is intense then you should have a stronger breakfast and ingest sports products and hydrating drinks during the activity.

On the other hand, post-workout nutrition is extremely important because it helps you recover glycogen storage and reduce muscle fatigue. As I have mentioned before, this should be done at the latest 30 minutes after the session and foods rich in carbohydrates and proteins are recommended.

A food that is easy to get and cheap for post-workout is chocolate milk.

Finally, consider the following:

If "you can’t” eat solid food in the morning, look for a liquid substitute.

If you "don’t have time" to eat, get up earlier.

If you don’t like to eat before you train, get used to it.

Gladiators, there are many benefits and few sacrifices that have to be made to be healthy, you can do it!
