It is likely that many of you have not lost the bad habit that you had as a child of refusing to eat vegetables, and I don’t blame you, I also find it boring to eat them and I find it difficult to understand the people who LOVE THEM. But, even if it is not our favorite food, the benefits they bring to the human body could be reason enough to eat them (and even think they are delicious).
In the case of athletes, they often focus their diet on the consumption of proteins and carbohydrates (and it’s understandable because that is what makes them increase muscle mass and have energy), leaving aside the nutritional properties of vegetables that make their consumption indispensable to improve physical performance.
ATTENTION GLADIATORS: The vegetables have a high content of FIBER, VITAMINS and MINERALS, in addition of generating a very low caloric contribution.
Fiber allows us to slow the absorption of fats, capture toxins, provides greater satiety and improves intestinal transit. While vitamins and minerals are essential for the proper functioning of our body, they help keep our defenses strong against infections and strengthen the nervous system.
Do not let this important food pass in your meals and enjoy all the benefits they bring to our health.
