The mistake: Every time I get injured, I stop my workouts.

I could bet that everyone at some point has heard or even said: "I had to stop training because I'm injured ...", or "I better not train because I'm afraid to injure myself even more ...".

A long time ago I also thought that the best way to recover from an injury was to rest from the exercise, but after entrusting my injuries to physical therapy professionals, I realized that I was wrong. Not only did I expose myself to making the injury even worse, but I was taking steps back in my physical preparation because of being inactive.

In some cases, absolute rest, instead of benefiting the damaged structures, can cause delays in the healing process or even worsen the initial injury.

Kinemed professionals say that the most beneficial thing, when we have an injury, is the physiotherapeutic approach to minimize the recovery time and to continue with physical activity under the supervision of a professional who tells us the type of exercises we can perform.

For high-performance athletes, it is necessary to perform an interdisciplinary work, meaning, work with the physical trainer, coach, and physiotherapist in order for there to be a harmony in the activities that are performed; otherwise we expose ourselves to delays in recovery processes.

Gladiators now you know, injuries are not synonymous with rest, you should just perform different jobs that allow you to continue building your body.
